Delete your account

Knewness is published by PeachShift LLC. You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app, in about ten seconds, without emailing anyone or waiting on us.

Delete it from the app

1. Open Knewness.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Tap Delete my account.
4. Confirm. The deletion runs immediately and you are signed out.

If you no longer have the app

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will delete it for you. We answer within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

All of it. Deleting your account removes, from our systems:

• Your sign-in identity and the email address attached to it
• Your journal entries and the key that unlocks them — the key is destroyed with the entries, so the stored text cannot be read again by anyone, including us
• Your saved and carried Scripture, your goals, and your devotional progress
• Any testimonies you wrote, published or not, and any blocks you had set
• Your subscription record on our side, and the app-usage rows tied to your account

What is kept, and for how long

• Nothing personal remains on our side. Deletion is immediate, not a request queued for review.
• Backups. Residual copies may persist briefly in routine encrypted backups, which are overwritten on a rolling schedule. Nothing is ever restored from them to rebuild a deleted account.
• Your subscription and payment history live with Apple or Google, not with us, and we cannot delete them. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your subscription settings first, or you will keep being billed. See Support for how.
• Records we are required to keep, such as a record of the deletion request itself, are kept only where the law requires it.

Deleting some things without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove something. Inside the app you can delete an individual journal entry, remove a saved verse, or take down a testimony you wrote, and each is removed from our systems when you do.
